Germana Noage is familiar to regular readers of this website, both as the lead singer of her eponymous band, and as an important collaborator with Massimo Pieretti on his solo outings (he plays keyboards for Noage as well). Last year, I reviewed the album, From Darkness to Life, and you can look at this by clicking on the button below

Noage - From Darkness to Life

Come the back end of 2025, Germana has released a debut solo single, White Demon, which you can obtain on all major streaming platforms. https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/germananoage/white-demon

On this, Noage is joined by aforementioned Pieretti (keyboards & arrangements); Vincenzo Zappatore (electric guitar); Roberto Vitelli (fretless bass); and Cristian Giustini (percussion). Well-known and regarded guitarist Simone Cozzetto is responsible for the knob twirling duties.

From Germana, the track is about the realization that there is an inner world, deep in the subconscious, where our darkest demons live.

I like the piano of Pieretti which introduces this, and this atmospheric feel lasts throughout the single, with Noage’s vocals restrained in a delicate and sensuous manner, a lovely performance. Zappatore demonstrates some nice licks, Vitelli has a strong sense of melody on the bass, and the vocal effects add so much to the overall feel, with the percussion spartan, but in keeping with the track.

I hope that this single presages a longer EP or album from this talented Italian songwriter and vocalist. It shows tremendous promise and is recommended for you to add to your digital playlists.
