Nick Fletcher is a seriously talented musician and songwriter, certainly one of the finest modern guitarists we have. This website cherishes his music, and when A Longing For Home was released, I knew that Nick had presented me with a rather impossible dilemma when it came to this website’s “Track of 2024” Award, because I thought that I had long decided on the winner.

In the end, I gave up. The beautiful Her Eyes of Azure Blue is one of those rare pieces of music which do not need words to convey the emotion and meaning inherent within. This is simply a gorgeous love song which, in a commercial world of justice, would be plastered all over our radio waves.
