In a few years time, when music historians publish vast tomes about the development of music in the early 21st century, no chapter on art rock could be complete without an extended discussion of the incredibly talented Grice, who released the staggeringly fine Mordant Lake in 2024.

From this, I have chosen Karl as my “tribute of 2024” award, a loving, and simply sumptuous, tribute to Karl Wallinger.
