As this website writes predominantly about progressive rock music, the annual “Epic Track” award has a somewhat crowded field to select from, and it has to be good, damned good, to get through the field to cross the finishing line in first place.

Ghost of the Machine are my choice, with their incredible sophomore album, Empires Must Fall, with the winner the album closer, After the War, a track which fills the room with sound and I remarked could easily be compared with the finest of IQ epic tracks. There is no greater compliment in prog!
