Thomas Szirmay is one of those rare members of the progressive rock community whose name is recognisable across the globe through his relentless and dedicated work bringing music to life with words through his reviewing.

However, now he is forging the musical path, together with his friend and talented veteran of the scene, Jeremie Arrobas. Their third album, Imperfect Silence, is another winner of this year’s awards signed to Progrock.Com’s Essentials. The album is more progressive than its predecessors, and from it, I have chosen Red Forest for an award, the title of which refers to the area which after 1986 became the most contaminated woodland on earth following the Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster.
